Beauty that sits on the water

This beautiful Colonial Revival home sits across from an amazing view of the Chesapeake bay. The home had character and charm but needed a little something extra to help her have the regal appeal she deserved to match the view she looks over each day.

Beginning in the cold months of January we had our challenges of working on a breezy waterfront property, but will power and vision of what was to be revealed kept us going.

She now sits proud, regal and beautiful with new windows and lead stained glass doors to let in sunlight. A gorgeous midnight blue plank siding gives her the color of the deep sea. Let’s not forget those amazing porches with outdoor ceiling fans and comfortable sitting, allow you to experience the true Southern charm of a warm breeze over the Chesapeake Bay.

Landscape foundation plants surround the lower porch and will grow tall around the edges to reach up to the new porch roof line. Hopefully to be followed by a circle drive later on in the next project.

I truly love what I do for a living. I get to help beautiful things become more beautiful and I am grateful.

Color of the year from Sherwin Williams Exclusive Plum (SW 6263)

Plum colors can be energetic or relaxing. You can use them in any location. We had a master bath painted a muted purple in my last home…it was called mesmerized and everyone loved it. I paired it with bright white bead board and trim, chrome metals, antique claw foot tub, antique milk glass sconces that were hand rubbed with silver, and a hand rubbed silver polish on an old antique piece I used for the vanity. Finishing it off with an onyx vanity top, teak wood floor and a ceiling painted like the sky WITH a sky light….smashing success. I miss that claw foot tub!

The Art of Selling

Recently U&I had the pleasure of joining a local team of Artists and Realtors to get a home ready for the market.

U&I entered in with Judy Boone Realty, Judy Boone and Rob Principe, and the Homeowner to get the home ready for market. U&I discussed curb appeal with the Owners and with assistance from Man vs. Tree, Matt we were able to create a beautiful backdrop for the home. U&I worked with the homeowners to get things packed and stored before we came in and Staged the property. We worked for several days setting up the home and I must say the homeowners were gem clients. Motivated and ready….a stagers dream.

Judy Boone introduced in several local artists, Cathy Dixson, Linda House, Dollner Johnson, and Paul Wineman, Virtual Tour.

I must say it was a pleasure to work with other professionals with the same goal in mind….Sell that house.
